The museum main collection consists of the hundreds of historical items that Andreas Lund-Drosvad (Suko) on its own initiative overall to themselves in the long period he stayed here in the district. Otto Thomassen (1895-1971) began to create carvings in the 1930's. The symbolic universe of Thomassen is fabulous. In his carvings naturalistic scenes from the daily life as well as supernatural beings are seen. In some of the supernatural beings several elements from the animal world is to be seen.
The carvings at the museum are made by Otto Thomassen and his three sons: Kornelius, Kasper and Rasmus Thomassen
